Platform

Most Broadly –

For the good of our Country, we must;
  • Fiercely defend our Constitutional Rights – Hard earned and only maintained by steadfast defense on all levels by all citizens and officials.
  • Maintain functional checks and balances and demand accountability—bedrock principles of our government.
  • Remain vigilant against white-collar crime and corruption

On a Community Level –

We can address the challenges we face and overcome polarization by focusing on;
  • Local Business – Supporting small, Main Street businesses and local Labor Rights.
  • Local Government – Promoting resilient municipalities by increasing transparency and effectiveness in administering essential public services.
  • Local Development – Reforming zoning codes to reduce unnecessary regulations, incentivizing community developers, and making it easier to build affordable housing and traditional, mixed-use developments.

Specific Policies for Council –

Fire and EMS – Emergency Medical Services

The 30+ first responder departments in our County are struggling. We need strong County coordination and initiatives to support these local agencies in fulfilling their critical mission. Ambulances must be able to get to people’s homes in a time of need. View the full policy sheet by clicking the button below.

Housing Crisis

Implement land use reform and revisit taxation policies to address the housing crisis. Encourage cooperation between the City & County’s housing authorities, community organizations and community developers.

Regionalization and Shared Public Services

I will advocate for regionalizing services. In Wesleyville, we are working towards regionalizing certain services with Lawrence Park including with our Police departments and our treasurer positions. This has the benefit of reducing expenses and improving services. I believe this model should be promoted across the County.
